I was thinking Black/Steel Grey/ and Golden Yellow. I will post my idea for a symbol. As for theme of unit. Shock troops. People using (in RP) chaos gifts to there advantage in the field of battle. Khorne grants strength, Nurgle grants toughness, Tzeentch grants Strategy Know-how, and Slaanesh grants elegance withing the art of battle.

Nope. It looks like a coruption of the Dragoons shield actually. To quote the the Pointless Man: "My dear Oblio, a point in every direction, is the same as no point at all." That kinda sums up Chaos I think.

Hey. I was using Paint and using references like these. Wanted to make it more "friendly". Don't think me stealing the idea of another unit. this is a symbol that I've been accustom to for 3 years. much longer before I even heard about Dag. All I am asking is for respect towards what I want to theme after.

The choas symbol is a pretty old and commonly found symbol. I seriously doubt the dragoons had little to do with this design. It's just that a lot of things can come up looking vaguely like a cross.

Ok... color choice... from a purely symbolic perspective, maybe this will help...

White: purity, neutrality, cleanliness, sterility, youth.

Black: absence, power, sophistication, formality, elegance, wealth, mystery, evil, death, fear, emptiness, darkness, unity, sorrow.

Gray: elegance, humility, respect, reverence, stability, subtlety, wisdom, old age, pessimism, boredom, decay, decrepitude, dullness, balance.

Red: passion, strength, energy, fire, sex, love, romance, excitement, speed, heat, arrogance, ambition, leadership, masculinity, power, danger, blood, war, anger, revolution, aggression, respect.

Black: Evil, darkness, unity, sorrow, fear, death. Allthings a band of chaos warriors know well or how to spread.
Grey: elegance, respect, reverence, wisdom, decay, pessimism(opposing team)

and Yellow: intelligence, idealism, wealth, joy(with in Chaos), hazards, dishonesty(it happens with power hungry champions),femininity(slaanesh, nuff said), deceit.

so yeah. the colors work.

Chaos is much more complex. Sure its labels as evil. but what is evil? there is different mind sets, they follow different gods. but really they have a code of honor and a respect system. they make war an art. they only ever punish the arrogant (like the emperor saying he is the god of mankind, the chaos gods want his power to disperse, for it is falsehood)

as far as the official petition, give me a few weeks to hand write a statement (with a typed copy) and get hand signatures for the people foaming the original group. I will also have all the appropriate background story. (I have to work on a "game" in school, that comes first) And as for a standing now, the picture of the shield i posted is the standing colors and symbol until I can get a better one made.

I am hitting a point in school where there is a lot of work. I will be slower to get the rest of things in.

as far as members go. I have here the list of names of the people that are in.
Steven Hadt (me)
Amanda Satanek
Lance Roy
Dusty Knerr
Andrew Cook (whom school will prevent him to attend practice, sadly, for another 4 weeks)
and 3 others whom names excape me. they were all interested and voiced they wanted to join last DOTIS practice.

I will have some nifty hand-writen stuff for file as well as typed copies when all and all is done

Good news Everybody!

This is our rough draft of the unit symbol. Currently working on story and reasons of being here.

This will be our Main banner. Our tabards will have just the Gold Chaos starts on them and the cloth color of the tabard will depend on what god each persona follows. Here is a basic list.
Undivided (all gods followed): Black
Tzeentch: Royal Blue
Nurgle: Dark Green
Khorne: Blood Red
Slaanesh: Dark Purple

Hopefully sometime in the near future the symbol will be put on a banner to be flown at events and practices.
The final draft will be done within the week I am guessing. Akeela needs to confirm on that one.

It's a good idea to stay away from skulls, especially making them red. Evil units will be on your ass for that. Militia
